Algerie!!

Hola Chabales!!

After Morroco, I'm now in Algeria, in the southern city of Ghardaia, with the terrorists!! I'm jocking of course!! Ha!ha! Ha!

After 4 days spent in Algier, at some Couch surfing's friend house ( Thank you very very much Mehdi, that was great!!), I am now travelling to the desert. And It is absolutly amasing. The city I'm in is in the middle between the 2 big sand desert of the sahara: le sahara occidental et le sahara oriental.
I met a 20 years old algerian guy in the bus coming from Algier yesterday, and he has been very cool with me. He invited me into his familly house, yesterday night, and we visted the cities, and the palm trees fields together today. It was great. The architecture has nothing to see with rest of the muslim world because they are Mozabites, which is a different type of muslims ( with the chiites and the sunnites).

People here are very nice, they are very welcoming, and they always tell me : "bienvenus, vous etes comme chez vous". Alors c'est cool.

I was not expecting such a good welcoming from a country known abroad for terrorism and unsafetiness.
Though I'm quite carefull too, I never felt in danger at all.

I think the country has changed a lot in the last 5 years, and for what I've seen, There should be a great economic booming in the coming years... Everything is left to be done.

I'll be travelling to "El Oued tomorrow", It is the city of the 1001 dooms ( coupoles in french , not sure about the translation).

I'll be in Constantine by wednesday, where I'll meet a good friend's brother.
I'll be in Tunisia, in Tunis on Friday, where I'll spend the week end with a great friend I met in paris 2 years ago!!
